Welcome to ECOTA!

Welcome to the Episcopal Church of The Atonement in the historic town of Westfield, MA, the gateway to the beautiful Berkshire Hills. We are a community in which visitors, friends and members find renewal and refreshment in celebrating the mystery, beauty, and joy of faith. Our Presiding Bishop Michael Curry calls us “The Episcopal Branch of the Jesus Movement”. We draw our nourishment from Jesus who calls us into relationship with the Divine.  Because of his Word and example, we recognize the divine spark within all human beings.  We honor that spark in you and we welcome the possibility of becoming a part of your spiritual journey.

We lift up the bonds we have as a church family, the ties which give us the possibility of finding meaning, purpose, value, and above all, love in our homes, in our places of work, and in the public arena. We invite you to join with us to discover the joy in that companionship.

We are a parish of the Episcopal Diocese of Western Massachusetts.  Our bishop is the Rt. Rev. Dr. Douglas J. Fisher, and we join with him and over fifty other churches and ministries to serve the people of God from Worcester west to the New York border.

With our diocese, we are members of The Episcopal Church, Led by the Most Rev. Michael Curry.  We welcome all who worship Jesus Christ, in 111 dioceses and regional areas in 17 nations. The Episcopal Church is a member province of the worldwide Anglican Communion.
